Yes. All communications that happen using the REST-APIs is encrypted and secure. Security is maintained using your Private Key. You can create/manage your Private Keys by going to the EasyIdentity Admin Dashboard->Settings->REST-API tab. If you suspect that your private key is compromised, then you must immediately delete such keys in the Admin Dashboard. This will ensure the safety of your REST-API communication and your data.
