You can invite one or more users to update or create their password in EasyIdentity by navigating to Users → Invite. You will see a blue Invite button at the top right-hand corner of the page, as shown below. This is the starting point to securely invite users to set up or reset their passwords.

Clicking the Invite button will open a dialog box that provides multiple options for inviting users to update their password in EasyIdentity. This interface is designed to be simple, intuitive, and flexible, allowing administrators to manage password invites efficiently.

Invitation Use-Cases #
EasyIdentity provides four main options for inviting users to update their password. You can choose the method that best suits your needs:
-
Manual
When you select this tab, you can manually enter one or more email addresses for the users you want to invite.
An invite email will be sent to each user, prompting them to update or create their EasyIdentity password.
This method is ideal for inviting a small number of users individually.
-
Upload CSV
When you select this tab, you can upload a CSV file containing each user’s full name and email address.
This allows you to invite multiple users at once efficiently, which is useful for larger teams or bulk onboarding.
Groups
When you select this tab, you can choose one or more groups from your EasyIdentity account.
All users associated with the selected groups will automatically receive an invitation to update their password.
This is a convenient option when managing users who are already organized by group in your system.
-
Departments
When you select this tab, you can select one or more departments within your organization.
Users associated with the selected departments will be invited to update their passwords automatically.
This ensures departmental password management is streamlined and secure.
-
All Users
When you select this tab, all users in EasyIdentity will receive an invitation to update their password.
This option is particularly useful for organization-wide password resets or security updates.
Email Templates #
The content of the invitation emails is controlled through Settings → Email Templates.
Here, you can customize the email text to reflect your organization’s style and provide clear instructions for users.
Properly formatted email templates can help ensure higher completion rates and avoid confusion among end-users.
Tracking Invite Status #
After sending invitations, you can check the status of email invites under Reports → Email Invites.
This section shows which users have received, opened, or completed their password updates.
Monitoring invite status allows administrators to follow up with users who have not yet updated their password, ensuring security compliance across the organization.
